I found a product that relates to the esquisse task. It is a clear-spanning, waterproof pod, called Echidna Stretchee Pods (made by Bedouintents Freeform Tents) which can be customized and come in many sizes, and multiple pods can be connected to form a larger space. They can even have integrated floors and solid doors attached to the stretchy lining.
